Free Virtual Film Screening of “Reflecting on Anti-bias Education in Action: The Early Years”
Reflecting on Anti-bias Education in Action: The Early Years, is a new film by Debbie LeeKeenan, John Nimmo, Filiz Efe McKinney. The film is being screened virtually at an event at UMass Boston. The event’s page states “Join us via Zoom (register here) as we engage educators and the public in promoting anti-bias conversation and action within early childhood education and care. The session will include a free virtual film screening of the recently released Reflecting on Anti-bias Education in Action: The Early Years followed by a panel discussion with film producers Debbie LeeKeenan and John Nimmo, early educators Caryn Park and Nicole Johnson, and discussant Mark Warren, moderated by Lianna Pizzo (see bios for more information). This project is being funded by the Racial Justice Committee within the College of Education and Human Development at UMass Boston in a grant to Dr. Mona Abo-Zena (Assistant Professor), Isabela Garcia Senent (Lecturer), Lindsay Beatty (Doctoral Candidate) and Dr. Lianna Pizzo (Associate Professor).”
