How Doc Mcstuffins Can Help Us Stop the Spread of The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Pandemic

One of my all-time favorite bands is Boston’s own Letters to Cleo. The first time I saw them perform was at The Hatch Shell when I was 14 years old and I’ve probably seen them 3 dozens times since. The lead singer of Letters to Cleo is Kay Hanley. When Kay is not being Letters to Cleo’s front-women, she is often writing songs for animated TV shows with her songwriting partner Michelle Lewis and advocating for songwriters as the executive directors of advocacy group Songwriters of North America.  One of Kay Hanley’s most memorable partnerships with Michelle Lewis was writing songs for the show Doc Mcstuffins.  When I was a preschool teacher, the songs from the Doc Mcstuffins Soundtrack were a big part of my children’s music playlist. The songs are short, catchy, and usually have a quick lesson for kids. One of those songs was “Wash Your Hands” which encouraged children to do just that while giving a quick tutorial. Every health care professional is urging everyone to wash their hands right now to combat the spread of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). As Kay recently noted on her twitter, this is a message that can save the world right now; So make sure to have the track below on your playlist (or listen to it below) to encourage children (and adults) to wash their hands.

P.S. Here is a playlist with a mix of some Doc Mcstuffins along with kid friendly Letters to Cleo/Kay Hanley Solo/and Josie and The Pussy Cat songs ( Kay sang the songs on the Josie movie).
