Overview of criticism of Elizabeth Warren’s Early Childhood Education and Care Proposal
Polls show there is strong public supportfor investing in early education and care:
While many in the early childhood education and care world and others reacted positively ( with healthy skepticism of course) to presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren’s plan to make early education and care affordable to all, we can’t forget there is strong opposition to Warren’s plan and similar plans from both powerful people and everyday voters. This opposition will have to be overcome for any big changes like The Warren proposal to be enacted. For instance conservative magazine The National Review called the plan a misguided intrusion:

The Chicago Sun Times published a column Elizabeth Warren’s Bad Idea on Preschool
If you look at public comments on any Facebook link to Warren’s plan you will find comments like these ( all screen caps were from publicly shared stories) against Warren’s plan. Opponents of Warren’s plan will be able to tap into the sentiment in the comments below or oppose her plan and thus Warren and supporters of her plan and or similar plans need to have a plan to counteract these sentiments.
