The next Massachusetts Postpartum Depression SpecialLegislative Commission meeting will be at The State House Wednesday, December 19th from 5:30-7:30PM Room 428.

The main focus of the meeting will be outlining policy priorities related to postpartum depression for next year’s legislative session. 

Overall, the commissions goals are 

“ •An assessment of current research on post partum depressio

•Review of current PPD screening policies and practices

•Assist MDPH in the development of educational materials, referral lists and designation of validated screening tools

•Assist MDPH is applying for federal funding

•File an annual report at the end of each state fiscal year”
