Free Professional Development: Early Literacy Development: Birth To Age 5. At The Watertown Public Library 12/8/18 1pm
We are happy to announce our first of a series of free professional development training at the Watertown Public Library.

This free training will go over how teachers and parents of young children can best support young children’s early literacy development. Topics covered will including finding quality books, dialogic reading, vocabulary development, reading comprehensions skills and coding. Early Childhood Educators will receive 1.5 training hours in early literacy development for attending the training. The training will include both lecture and discussions. The presentation will be done by Teddy Kokoros
For the past 15 years Teddy Kokoros has taught preschool and Pre-K at The Transportation Children’s Center in downtown Boston. He has also taught college early education classes at Umass Boston, Fisher College, Bay State College and Lesley University. He obtained his Associates Degree in Early Education at Bay State College, Bachelor’s in Sociology at UMass Boston, Masters in Education with a focus on language and literacy from Harvard Graduate School of Education, Post Masters Certificate in Early Childhood Education Research, Practice, and Policy from UMass Boston, and is currently working on my PhD in Education at Lesley University.
